Orange County Great Park

The Orange County Great Park is a park located in Irvine that offers free balloon and carousel rides.  It used to be Marine Corps Air Station El Toro.  I had never been for a balloon ride before, so this seemed like a great opportunity, and it was really fun!

Balloon and carousel rides aren't the only thing at the Great Park.  They also have a farmer's market on Sundays from 10am-2pm in addition to different events that are held regularly.  The day I went there people had brought their classic cars to put on display

Yorba Regional Park

Today I went for a lovely walk through Yorba Regional Park in Anaheim near Yorba Linda and Anaheim Hills.  There are beautiful trails for riding bikes, going for a run, or taking your dog for a walk. 

My dog Boomer had an awesome time!  He was so excited he could hardly contain himself!  Lol.

There are also plenty of picnic tables to have lunch.  You can either bring yours pre-cooked or use one of the many bbqs available.  

For a small fee you can rent boats, bikes, and go karts. 

My favorite part of all the different animals.  Aside from geese and ducks there were several other species of birds along with squirrels and the ever favorite K9.  :)
